As a researcher within this field, where I can find the results of the activities conducted during your project?

Answer:

All of the results of the various activities conducted during the lifetime of the ABC4Trust project can be found within the Deliverables section on this website. Additionally, many documents have been published by our various partners over the years as a direct result of our activities. You can download them at Papers and Articles.

Question:

I am a researcher interested in the design and implementation of the ABC4Trust Engine and its components. Where can I access this information along with the code?

Answer:

In addition to the Publications section on this website, the specific details you seek will most likely be addressed in D4.2 - Final Reference Implementation or at the p2abcengine wiki page on GitHub. The most recent version of the ABC4Trust Engine source code can also be obtained from the ABC4Trust resource page at Github.

Question:

I am a business owner that is interested in using your technology to allow my customers to login and access my products privately and securely. How would I go about this?

Answer:

The most recent version of the ABC4Trust Engine source code can be obtained from the ABC4Trust resource page at Github. You can start with this for your own, initial testing purposes and without guarantee on side of ABC4Trust or its consortium members. Please note that the crypto engines are not part of the download and our engine is designed to be used with Identity Mixer and U-Prove. All you need to do is to download eitherMicrosoft U-Prove and/or IBM Identity MixerIBM Identity Mixer separately (note that some of the features will only work if Identity Mixer is installed).

Question:

If my company were to use the ABC4Trust Engine, how much does it cost?

Answer:

The source code of the p2abcengine is free and open source as it is licensed under theApache License, Version 2.0. Note, however, that the p2abcengine depends on a number of Java libraries that are covered by other licenses while the required cryptographic engines Microsoft U-Prove (also Apache License, Version 2.0) and IBM Identity Mixer (available under the Identity Mixer License) are available.

Question:

Which are possible use cases of Privacy-ABCS?

Answer:

Besides the pilot trial's use cases - a privacy-enhancing school communication platform and an anonymous course evaluation system at a university -  Privacy-ABCs could be of use in many other areas. In the eGovernment sector, for instance, they could be used to allow citizens anonymous participation in online polls or petitions. An overview of use cases ABC4Trust figured out can be found here.
